The following are some statistics about christians:

  1. 72% consider themselves to be christian because they were christened or baptized into the religion
  2. 64% believe in fate
  3. 64% when given only four answers to choose from were not able to identify the first book of the new testament as Matthew
  4. 60% have not read any part of the bible, independently or from choice for at least a year
  5. 54% seek most guidance in questions of right and wrong from their own inner moral sense
  6. 54% describe their view of god in christian terms
  7. 50% do not think of themselves as religious
  8. 49% have not attended a church service in the previous 12 months
  9. 49% do not think of jesus as the son of god
  10. 44% watch or listen to a religious service on TV, radio, or the internet in the previous year
  11. 41% identify as christian because they try to be a good person and associate that with christianity
  12. 40% chose the statement that best describes what being a christian means to them personally as I try to be a good person
  13. 38% consider themselves to be christian because their parents were members of the religion
  14. 37% have never or almost never prayed outside a church service
  15. 36% believe in ghosts
  16. 36% admit to having never read the bible in the previous three years
  17. 32% believe jesus was physically resurrected
  18. 31% identify as christian and genuinely try to follow the christian religion
  19. 30% claim to have strong religious beliefs
  20. 27% believe in astrology
  21. 27% believe in reincarnation
  22. 26% chose the statement that best describes what being a christian means to them personally as It’s how I was brought up
  23. 26% completely believe in the power of prayer
  24. 21% either do not really believe in or do not believe in christianity at all but they believe they are still christians
  25. 18% does not believe in the resurrection even in a spiritual sense
  26. 16% have not attended a church service for more than ten years
  27. 16% chose the statement that best describes what being a christian means to them personally as I have accepted jesus as my lord and savior
  28. 15% admit to having never read the bible outside a church service
  29. 13% describe their view of god in the sense of the laws of nature
  30. 12% have never attended a church service at all
  31. 10% seek most guidance in questions of right and wrong from religious teachings or beliefs
  32. 10% describe their view of god in some form of supernatural intelligence
  33. 9% describe their view of god in whatever caused the universe
  34. 7% chose the statement that best describes what being a christian means to them personally as I believe in the teachings of jesus
  35. 6% do not believe in god at all
  36. 6% pray independently or from choice less than once a year
  37. 4% doubt that jesus existed at all

So based on these facts, it seems hard to believe that there really is such a thing as a true christian. I have a few questions for the christian. Is there anything your god could do that you would judge it as unjust, unloving, or unethical? How would you know if you blindly think your god cannot be judged?
