On the Value of Being a Real Person
Hello fellow people on the journey of being real.
As I start my thought on the value of being a real person, I would like to say that I am not one real person. What I mean by that is no one is one real person throughout their life. Think about it this way who I was as a person as a baby? Is that not a different person then when I was 5 years old, was that not a different person then when I was 10 years old, was that not a different person than when I was 15 years old, was that not a different person than when I was 20 years old, is that not a different person then I am now over 40 years old, and will that not be different when I am over 80 years old. Thus I think the secret of who I am is to realize that “I” am as a Real Person on the journey of being real, rather than reaching some place or thinking where I can finally say I have completely arrived and will never change.
To reference this farther I will give you a quote and a poem.
I now realize the wisest thing I have ever done was be kind because eyes of hate
will always find a victim, whereas the eyes of love will always find a friend.
“Just Be”
Wouldn’t it be nice to just be?
Compared to no one.
A prize all by yourself.
We would have the freedom to fly through life,
enjoyed for the wonderfully unique person we are.
Yet a true appraisal on life shows that it is just not that way.
Maybe it’s just the dumb people in life that won’t let that happen.
Maybe I could start a revolution of new thought, “Yes.”
I will start by seeing the beautiful wonders of difference all around me.
I will learn to love everyone for whom they are.
That’s all, But it’s a lot.
Don’t compare yourself with others,
Enjoy yourself.
And just be.
This poem is relative for me as one who strives to be a real person because I see that often even if unrealized people think and behave in patterns. expressed simply: What We Don’t Understand We Come to Fear. What We Fear We Learn to Hate. What We Hate We Seek to Destroy! Therefore, we who strive to be real people should thus seek to care for others and love diversity in others or at least accept difference not simply hate people…
People on the journey of being real can be benefited with understanding proposed by Positive Psychology, which in contrast to standard Psychology, is a field of study focused on examining how ordinary people can become happier and more fulfilled. According to Christopher Peterson Ph.D. Positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living. It is a call for psychological science and practice to be as concerned with strength as with weakness; as interested in building the best things in life as in repairing the worst; and as concerned with making the lives of normal people fulfilling as with healing pathology. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-good-life/200805/what-is-positive-psychology-and-what-is-it-not
The art of know your self, love your self, be your self
The art of knowing your self: this involves getting to the place of knowing oneself they, which they must first understand why knowing one’s self is important, as well as how to comprehend they don’t already know them self or that most people don’t know themselves even if they think they do.
The art of loving your self: this involves getting to the place of knowing oneself they, which they must first understand why knowing one’s self is important, as well as how to comprehend they don’t already know them self or that most people don’t know themselves even if they think they do. First one must think about what love looks like wouldn’t it be a growth-producing or would it build self-enlightenment and self-truth? Do you feel I or anyone can define your truth?
If someone defined truth for you would you really own it? Wouldn’t it make more sense instead for me to broaden your ability to see the question? First, would you think a question like this of such a personal relevance has right answers? To start thinking on what love is would we look at are fallible behavior or some philosophical definition? If we look at our relations with others could we be convicted of loving? If we wish for a philosophical definition of love what realities does it hold in our real lives? Is love a feeling or a behavior? If we look at love as feeling what emotional substance does it stem from? If we look at love as behavior is it fixed in the behaviors of others?
The art of being your self: this involves getting to the place of being oneself they, which they must first understand why knowing one’s self is important, as well as how to comprehend they don’t already know them self or that most people don’t know themselves even if they think they do. Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. Being yourself is celebrating you, as an individual – learning to express yourself and be happy with who you are. Define yourself by your self: You can’t be yourself if you don’t know, understand, and accept yourself first. It should be your primary goal to find this out. Be YOU authentically: don’t put too much care about how other people perceive you including your parents or family. The fact is, it really doesn’t matter in the long run and if love must be bought bartered for or molded to be received, is it a love worth having. It’s impossible to be yourself when you’re caught up in wondering “Do they like or accept me?” To be yourself, you’ve got to let go of these concerns and just let your behavior flow, with only your consideration of others as a lens to reference with not own as your own.
Don’t Hide: everyone is unique has quirks as well as imperfections; we are all at different stages in life. Be honest with yourself, but don’t be too hard on yourself; apply this philosophy to others, as well. There is a difference between being critical and being honest; learn to watch the way you say things to yourself and others. Own who you are: if you’re always working to be someone you’re not, you’ll never be a happy person. Be yourself and show the world you’re proud of the way you are! Nobody knows you better than you and that’s how it should be. You deserve to be your own best friend, so start trying to figure out how you can do that. If you had to hang out with yourself for a day, what is the most fun type of person you could be, while still being yourself? What is the best version of you? Believe in this idea and use that as your starting point.
And how we use this thinking to change how we interact with others is, Knowing society, Loving the Humanity of Society, and Being the Humanity in Society.
Being a “Real Person” is understanding “Power, Knowledge, and Kindness”
When I was young, I valued and longed for power as I developed I saw the power in knowledge and longed for development of intelligence.
Now that I have gained knowledge, I see with the value of wisdom and it is me that has developed for I understand that my greatest power is kindness.
This “Value-Awareness” gives rise to of wisdom that our greatest power is kindness.
The value of being a real person then is seeing the ethics involved, for when love is followed hate is not tolerated. Therefore, to me the world is value. We are not in this life alone, thus life has value. There is no way to only care and value me and not be affected by such a thoughtless action. I feel we are all fellow people on the journey of being real, lives are the value and what matters in life. As a champion of being real, I also champion value in both myself and others, I not only care for others, I wish to inspire and be inspired to become champions of value, who then care for people as well as go out and inspire others in the world to do the same. All of us together as champions of value can make the world better even if only the world around us. On such goals, we can create a place we all feel value.
The alternative “Value-Blindness” gives rise to sociopathic evil. (Leon Pomeroy, Ph.D.)
Nature and nurture organized our values around three dimensions (cognitive “mechanisms”) dedicated to values and valuations that give rise to behavioral “content” such as emotions, motivations, aesthetic values, political values, ethical values, moral values, etc. The distinction is one of the deep axiological mechanisms vs. superficial axiological content. The underlying dimensions or mechanisms have technical names, but we’ll stick with intuitive, but slightly deceptive, descriptors like Feeler (F), Doer (D) and Thinker (T). With the brain’s help, they become the “building blocks” of behavior. Tapping into them allows the measurement of one’s General Capacity to Value, and one’s capacity to value in each of the three core dimensions of value. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/beyond-good-and-evil/201306/new-psychology-revisited
My focus is in life as a real person is positive, validation geared towards achieving and assisting in a greater sense of wellbeing, connectedness and balance, motivated and directed rationale, and challenge reasoning to expand new thinking both in myself and others. As a real person, I value a universality of lovingness towards other beings and nature. My ethical approach is centered, infused, supports a caring and just understanding of needs and goals to achieve a new levels of balance, self-actualization, self-mastery, and self-freedom.
I have reached a place in my life where I value my own authenticity more than wining some kind of approval. I do enjoy being liked but will not change to have that happen. I know myself, love myself and live as myself as much as possible.
I try to be a truth teller and a seeker of knowledge and a person addicted to wisdom both for myself and from others. I wish to champion the mental freedom of disbelief in faith, superstitions, religions, and gods. I not only want to not be something false like a believer in superstitions, I wish to stand for something valued, so I strive to be one who is also thoughtful and caring of others trying if I can to protect, inspire or empower. If others like me great, if they don’t accept the real me that is their loss, but I will never regret being me the real person as much as I can in the moment.
John Amodeo PhD, MFT wrote three articles for Psychology Today that fit with the thinking I have addressed:
What It Really Means to Be Real, Two essential aspects of authenticity
Being Real Without Being Mean, Toward a Deeper Authenticity
How to Be Real Without Being Obnoxious, What it really means to be genuine

I do not hate simply because I challenge and expose myths or lies any more than others being thought of as loving simply because of the protection and hiding from challenge their favored myths or lies.
The truth is best championed in the sunlight of challenge.
An archaeologist once said to me “Damien religion and culture are very different”
My response, So are you saying that was always that way, such as would you say Native Americans’ cultures are separate from their religions? And do you think it always was the way you believe?
I had said that religion was a cultural product. That is still how I see it and there are other archaeologists that think close to me as well. Gods too are the myths of cultures that did not understand science or the world around them, seeing magic/supernatural everywhere.
I personally think there is a goddess and not enough evidence to support a male god at Çatalhöyük but if there was both a male and female god and goddess then I know the kind of gods they were like Proto-Indo-European mythology.

Why Does Power Bring Responsibility?
Think, how often is it the powerless that start wars, oppress others, or commit genocide? So, I guess the question is to us all, to ask, how can power not carry responsibility in a humanity concept? I know I see the deep ethical responsibility that if there is power their must be a humanistic responsibility of ethical and empathic stewardship of that power. Will I be brave enough to be kind? Will I possess enough courage to be compassionate? Will my valor reached its height of empathy? I as everyone earns our justified respect by our actions, that are good, ethical, just, protecting, and kind. Do I have enough self-respect to put my love for humanity’s flushing, over being brought down by some of its bad actors? May we all be the ones doing good actions in the world, to help human flourishing.
I create the world I want to live in, striving for flourishing. Which is not a place but a positive potential involvement and promotion; a life of humanist goal precision. To master oneself, also means mastering positive prosocial behaviors needed for human flourishing. I may have lost a god myth as an atheist but I am happy to tell you my friend, it is exactly because of that, leaving the mental terrorizer, god belief that I truly regained my connected ethical as well as kind humanity.
Cory and I will talk about prehistory and theism, addressing the relevance to atheism, anarchism, and socialism.
At the same time of the rise of the male god 7,000 years ago was also the very time there was the rise of violence war, and clans to kingdoms, then empires, then states. It is all connected back to 7,000 years ago and it mover across the world.
