The bible god Myth is Not True but The Prejudice is.

The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate a person to the Lord by giving the equivalent value:

*Leviticus 27-3 the value of a MALE ages of 20 and 60 years at 50 shekels of silver,

*Leviticus 27-4 the value of a FEMALE ages of 20 and 60 years at 30 shekels of silver,

*Leviticus 27-5 the value of a MALE ages of 5 and 20 years at 20 shekels of silver,

*and the value of a FEMALE ages of 5 and 20 years at 10 shekels of silver,

*Leviticus 27-6 the value of a MALE ages of one month and 5 years at 5 shekels of silver

*and the value of a FEMALE ages of one month and 5 years at 3 shekels of silver

*Leviticus 27-7 the value of a MALE ages of 60 years old or more at 15 shekels of silver

*and the value of a FEMALE ages of at 10 shekels of silver

How would we know is the one god myth of the bible could even be seen as true? Why do we not have this one god myth everywhere and explained exactly the same by different people all over the earth, ones who never met, and all saying something like “bible god chose jews over all peoples on the earth” Deuteronomy 7:6.

If different people all over the earth did recite that “the jews are the chosen people” at about the same time as the book of Deuteronomy, which was supposedly written over 3,000 years ago and is not a feat impossible for an omnipotent god, and if different people all over the earth did this even though they had not met nor heard of Israel, jews, or their god elohim or yahweh, then it would seem that bible god was true. However, no such luck. No, we never, let me repeat that we never heard that “the jews are the chosen people” from even one other source and the only people who say the jews are god’s chosen people are jews who were told this by another jewish person or read a jewish book full of myths written by men, dispersed by men, and reached others by only earthly means every time. Does that sound like an all-powerful god or manmade limitations? Well, maybe only one race is said to be chosen because of racial or xenophobia prejudice.

Studies have shown correlations between religiousness and religious concepts to increased racial prejudice. 1 This may be new to some but religion is, has been, and will be supportive of religious xenophobia. Xenophobia fear of or dislike of strange or unknown things. In this religion is not that special as it is not uncommon for humans to fear of or dislike things that are strange or unknown, meaning at times, what we do not understand we can come to fear. In addition, if left unchecked or as religion even seem to do is recurring chains of influence which support this xenophobia, so that which we fear we often learn to hate. This is when the problems can really start because often things we hate we usually seek to destroy. It is thus upon us to try to understand the unknown or unfamiliar not letting fear and xenophobia prejudice drive us into the unreasonable arms of hate and harm. Almost 100 studies support that religious priming effects a number of psychological outcomes but this effect seems to depend on cognitive activation of transmitted religious beliefs and does not hold the same effect on those who are non-religious. 2

Even when religious priming does promote prosociality, research shows it is likely more the reward-related concepts that are unrelated to religious concepts that must be present as well to fully motivate the promoted prosociality. 3 Numerous studies show a strong correlation and effect between religious fundamentalism and fundamentalist epistemology promoted adherence to absolute obedience or submission to authority, as well as antisociality seen in the often oppression of subordinates or ones seen as lesser or wicked likely correlating with religious xenophobia or other prodigiousness. 4

Religious xenophobia holds many negative interactions such as between differing religious identities or complementary religious ingroups or uncomplimentary religious outgroups and others without religious identity, within religious sects and between traditional versus non-traditional religious sects. A study showed that specific religious beliefs such as a judging god and fundamentalism relate to and predict religious xenophobia and aggression. Social psychology and group dynamics expressed in strong religious in-group identity can be seen in religious racism of racial out-groups. This is likely because racial out-groups may be seen as associated to an alternative religion and because religious in-group identity promotes values of tradition and social conformity that can lead to ethnocentrism and xenophobia which both can further motivate other religious prejudice and racism. 5

The phenomenon of hate crimes seems to demonstrate that most religious hate crimes in America related to differing religious identities were more likely against property, whereas anti-racial and anti-sexual orientation hate crimes were more likely to be directed against people. Thus, religious fundamentalism and fundamentalist epistemology as relevant predictive factors promoted authoritarian religiousness and religious concepts which increased racial and sexual prejudice should be seen as a real danger to people. 6

Religious orientation and prejudice were shown to be expressed somewhat differently between intrinsically as too extrinsically as it relates attitudes of racial and sexual outgroups. What the research was found was intrinsic orientation encourages tolerance toward specific in-groups such as one’s specific religious identities or complementary religious ingroups and tended to be more prejudiced against sexual orientations seen as outgroups. While an extrinsic orientation was found to be more correlated with religious racism. 7

Aron Ra & Damien Marie AtHope: Discuss Using Anthropology/Archaeology & Prehistory/History Against Religions

“Theists, there has to be a god, as something can not come from nothing.”

Well, thus something (unknown) happened and then there was something. This does not tell us what the something that may have been involved with something coming from nothing. A supposed first cause, thus something (unknown) happened and then there was something is not an open invitation to claim it as known, neither is it justified to call or label such an unknown as anything, especially an unsubstantiated magical thinking belief born of mythology and religious storytelling.

I do not hate simply because I challenge and expose myths or lies any more than others being thought of as loving simply because of the protection and hiding from challenge their favored myths or lies.

The truth is best championed in the sunlight of challenge.

An archaeologist once said to me “Damien religion and culture are very different”

My response, So are you saying that was always that way, such as would you say Native Americans’ cultures are separate from their religions? And do you think it always was the way you believe?

I had said that religion was a cultural product. That is still how I see it and there are other archaeologists that think close to me as well. Gods too are the myths of cultures that did not understand science or the world around them, seeing magic/supernatural everywhere.

I personally think there is a goddess and not enough evidence to support a male god at Çatalhöyük but if there was both a male and female god and goddess then I know the kind of gods they were like Proto-Indo-European mythology.

The “Atheist-Humanist-Leftist Revolutionaries”

Cory Johnston ☭ Ⓐ Atheist Leftist @Skepticallefty & I (Damien Marie AtHope) @AthopeMarie (my YouTube & related blog) are working jointly in atheist, antitheist, antireligionist, antifascist, anarchist, socialist, and humanist endeavors in our videos together, generally, every other Saturday.

Why Does Power Bring Responsibility?

Think, how often is it the powerless that start wars, oppress others, or commit genocide? So, I guess the question is to us all, to ask, how can power not carry responsibility in a humanity concept? I know I see the deep ethical responsibility that if there is power their must be a humanistic responsibility of ethical and empathic stewardship of that power. Will I be brave enough to be kind? Will I possess enough courage to be compassionate? Will my valor reach its height of empathy? I as everyone, earns our justified respect by our actions, that are good, ethical, just, protecting, and kind. Do I have enough self-respect to put my love for humanity’s flushing, over being brought down by some of its bad actors? May we all be the ones doing good actions in the world, to help human flourishing.

I create the world I want to live in, striving for flourishing. Which is not a place but a positive potential involvement and promotion; a life of humanist goal precision. To master oneself, also means mastering positive prosocial behaviors needed for human flourishing. I may have lost a god myth as an atheist, but I am happy to tell you, my friend, it is exactly because of that, leaving the mental terrorizer, god belief, that I truly regained my connected ethical as well as kind humanity.

Cory and I will talk about prehistory and theism, addressing the relevance to atheism, anarchism, and socialism.

At the same time as the rise of the male god, 7,000 years ago, there was also the very time there was the rise of violence, war, and clans to kingdoms, then empires, then states. It is all connected back to 7,000 years ago, and it moved across the world.

To me, the “male god” seems to have either emerged or become prominent around 7,000 years ago, whereas the now favored monotheism “male god” is more like 4,000 years ago or so. To me, the “female goddess” seems to have either emerged or become prominent around 11,000-10,000 years ago or so, losing the majority of its once prominence around 2,000 years ago due largely to the now favored monotheism “male god” that grow in prominence after 4,000 years ago or so.

My Thought on the Evolution of Gods?

Animal protector deities from old totems/spirit animal beliefs come first to me, 13,000/12,000 years ago, then women as deities 11,000/10,000 years ago, then male gods around 7,000/8,000 years ago. Moralistic gods around 5,000/4,000 years ago, and monotheistic gods around 4,000/3,000 years ago.

To me, animal gods were likely first related to totemism animals around 13,000 to 12,000 years ago or older. Female as goddesses was next to me, 11,000 to 10,000 years ago or so with the emergence of agriculture. Then male gods come about 8,000 to 7,000 years ago with clan wars. Many monotheism-themed religions started in henotheism, emerging out of polytheism/paganism.

Gods?

“Animism” is needed to begin supernatural thinking.
“Totemism” is needed for supernatural thinking connecting human actions & related to clan/tribe.
“Shamanism” is needed for supernatural thinking to be controllable/changeable by special persons.

Together = Gods/paganism
